Meet the Attorney


Sandra I. Murado                                                   

Sandra I. Murado draws on her twenty years of legal experience in both the private and public legal sectors in providing clients with quality legal representation with attention to detail and personal service. Ms. Murado graduated cum laude from Florida International University’s Faculty Scholars Program (“Honors Program”) where she double majored in Political Science and International Relations, with a minor in Italian.  Among her achievements during her undergraduate degree, Ms. Murado was:

  • Alternate, the Harry S. Truman U.S. Congressional Award for the State of Florida (F.I.U.’s first student to attain that honor for the State of Florida)
  • President, Omicron Delta Kappa (Academic and Leadership Honor Society)
  • Recipient, Ford Foundation Grant for the Hispanic Leadership Opportunity Program (grant required study of U.S. public policy at Stanford University and American University)
  • Student, Cambridge University in Cambridge, England, United Kingdom (Study Abroad Program)
  • Faculty Scholar (recipient of a full academic scholarship)

Ms. Murado graduated from Florida State University’s College of Law where she received a scholarship to attend.  Among her achievements at F.S.U’s College of Law, Ms. Murado was:

  • Member, Moot Court Team where she represented F.S.U.’s College of Law nationally
  • Member with Distinction, Journal of Transnational Law & Policy
  • Recipient, Book Award in Roman Law
  • Student, Loyola University’s Rome, Italy campus (Study Abroad Program)
  • Student, Vrije Universiteit (Brussels, Belgium) (Study Abroad Program)
  • Certified Legal Intern, State Attorney’s Office in Miami-Dade County during the tenure of the Honorable Janet Reno

In the public sector, Ms. Murado was a Case Manager with the Honorable Alan S. Gold while he served in the Family Division of the 11th Judicial Circuit in Miami, Florida.  She received a Certificate of Appreciation for her service to the 11th Judicial Circuit from Chief Judge Leonard Rivkind.

In private practice, Ms. Murado has extensive immigration and nationality law experience, as well as family law litigation experience.  Ms. Murado’s experience in U.S. immigration, nationality and consular law includes non-immigrant visas, immigrant visas, labor certifications and U.S. Citizenship matters.  She represents her clients before the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, the U.S. Department of Labor, and U.S. Embassies and Consulates abroad. Her family law litigation experience is drawn from her years handling cases involving dissolution of marriage, domestic violence, child support, alimony, prenuptial agreements, etc.

Ms. Murado is fluent in English, Spanish and Italian.
